As part of continuing efforts to drive economic development and investment in Georgia, AT&T announced Gainesville 85 Business Park is certified AT&T Fiber Ready.

In today’s world, and especially as communities work to champion the challenges of the global pandemic, connectivity is important to everyone, including new employers and businesses of every type. The AT&T Fiber Ready designation helps economic development leaders more effectively position their communities for site selection by emphasizing the availability of high-speed, fiber-based services.

“There are a number of excellent reasons to invest and locate in Hall County. Today, we are highlighting another reason – fiber infrastructure with high-speed communications capabilities in the Gainesville 85 Business Park,” said Tim Evans, Vice President of Economic Development for the Greater Hall County Chamber of Commerce. “AT&T’s Fiber Ready designation will help us advertise to potential investors from around the world that we are ready to meet their needs right here in the greater Gainesville area.”

The Gainesville 85 Business Park is a new 1,300-acre business park in Hall County. The Gainesville and Hall County Development Authority is currently working through an application for mega-site certification through the Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (or GRAD) certification.

“AT&T continues to invest across Georgia, deploying high-speed broadband communications in urban and rural areas alike,” said Paul Chambers, AT&T Georgia regional manager of external affairs. “Our goal for the AT&T Fiber Ready certification is to help clearly message that Georgia is connected as economic developers and community leaders work to bring new business to our state and drive growth for the ones that already call our communities home.”

The AT&T fiber network provides the bandwidth needed to support data intensive services such as video, collaboration, cloud services and more through products such as Ethernet, Virtual Private Networking, Managed Internet Service and AT&T Business Fiber. Customers can complement their high-speed Internet with network security options and online backup to help protect and virtualize their business-critical information.
