Safety and Maintenance Remains a Constant Theme for District One Projects

Three projects devoted to enhance or create safety on our state routes were awarded in December 2017 and officially announced January 9, 2018. 
 
A resurfacing project was awarded in Clarke and Madison counties for approximately five miles on State Route 8. This project was awarded to C. W. Matthews Contracting Company Inc. of Marietta, Georgia for the contract amount of $3,293,278.08. This work is scheduled to be completed November of 2018. 

A  cable barrier installation project in Green and Morgan Counties, encompasses a small portion of district one's Walton county. The project will install cable barriers along State Route 402/ I-20.  Massana Construction of Tyrone, Georgia was awarded this $4.5 million project with a completion date of November, 30 2018. 

Bridge rehabilitation in White county on State Route 11/ US 129 over little Tesnatee Creek was awarded to Comanche Construction of Marietta, Georgia. This project contract award amount was $969,337.00 and will be completed July 31, 2018.
