The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Welcomes Two New Cardiologists

The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center has two new cardiologists in the Greater Braselton area. Jeh-Wei Cheng, MD, joined the practice today and is accepting patients at the Braselton and Winder locations. Zaid H. Said, MD, also joined the practice today and is accepting patients at the Braselton, Winder and Hamilton Mill locations.

“As a cardiologist with The Heart Center of NGMC, I look forward to providing the same great heart care my colleagues at NGMC have been providing for years,” said Dr. Cheng. “Patients in the Greater Braselton area rely on The Heart Center of NGMC to keep their hearts healthy, and I’m ready to offer them expert service,” said Dr. Cheng.        

Dr. Cheng received her medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University, and fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Said received his medical degree from the University of Baghdad Medical School. He completed is residency in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He also completed a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the University of Illinois, and another fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Said is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
