Learn the cornerstones of Chick-fil-A from Bobby Shoemaker, franchisee operator of locations in Gainesville, as he shares company principles on caring for guests and community. Bobby began his career in 1984 as a teenager working at the Chick-fil-A in Gwinnett Place Mall. He soon realized that his dream was to become a franchisee owner and was selected for his own restaurant at Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville in 1994. A couple of years later he was selected to open a free standing restaurant in Gainesville on Pearl Nix Parkway. He served there for 19 years before relocating that restaurant to Dawsonville Highway and was selected to open a second restaurant in Gainesville on Jesse Jewell Parkway. His biggest passion as an operator is working with and developing young leaders. He enjoys teaching them how to set and obtain goals, write personal development plans, and lead with servant leadership.
