Bank of North Georgia begins transitioning to the Synovus brand name. Signage and other legacy branding at all Bank of North Georgia branches will be updated with Synovus branding through early March. Bank of North Georgia is one of 26 non-Synovus branded bank divisions to complete the footprint-wide brand transition, which will conclude in June 2018.

“This bank has been community-based and customer-focused for more than a quarter century and that won’t change,” said Rob Garcia, Synovus division CEO for North Georgia. “Adopting the Synovus name while maintaining our local, relationship-centered delivery model will increase awareness of our regional presence, our financial capabilities, and our ability to meet the needs of customers and prospects.”

Bank of North Georgia operates in 16 metro Atlanta counties. Founded in 1992 as Community Bank Capital Corporation and re-named Bank of North Georgia in 1994, the bank was among more than 60 acquisitions that would make Synovus Georgia’s second largest bank, with $31 billion in assets and a presence in five Southeastern states.
