The Joint Industry Association of Georgia highlighted their collaborative partnership at an exhibit during this year’s Georgia Logistics Summit and MODEX. Held April 9 – 12th at the Georgia World Congress Center Building, this joint effort showcased 7 industry leading associations serving various segments within the manufacturing industry and the end-to-end Supply Chain community.
The 7 Industry organizations that were involved in the JIAG effort were:
APICS Atlanta – The Association for Supply Chain Management
BVL - Bundesvereinigung Logistik (German-based Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association)
CSCMP – Council of Supply Chain & Management Professionals
ISM – Institute for Supply Chain Management
GMA - Georgia Manufacturing Alliance
TCA – Transportation Club of Atlanta
WERC -- Warehousing Education and Resource Council
“We look forward to continuing to foster relationship building and collaborative programming among each of these 7 organizations, as well as many others in the months to come,” said Scott Luton, Executive Vice President of APICS Atlanta. “Not only is this heightened partnership good for the organizations and their respective members, but ultimately it better serves this industry in Georgia, -- the #1 state to do business for 5 years running.”
The Joint Industry Association of Georgia was founded by the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance to help facilitate better communication between industry association and their members. Through this strategic partnership, each group benefits by leveraging their strengths to increase membership and growth and event promotion throughout the state.
“By working together with events like The Georgia Logistics Summit and MODEX, we have developed a community of support for the manufacturing industry,” said Jason Moss, the CEO of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance. “Through this joint effort, the Georgia Manufacturing Calendar was created to help busy professionals in the manufacturing community quickly locate and register for industry events across the state.”
