WellCare of Georgia, a subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc., announced that Georgia Senior Medical Group, a subsidiary of Seoul Medical Group, Inc., has joined its Medicare Advantage provider network, offering WellCare MA members expanded access in the state.

Seoul Medical Group, the largest Korean-American Independent Physician Association in the U.S., is owned and governed by physicians that provide primary care and specialty healthcare services to approximately 40,000 patients nationwide. The IPA received a Five-Star rating – the highest possible score – by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2017 for providing the highest quality healthcare its patients.

Current members of WellCare MA health plans now have in-network access to SMG providers. Those who enroll in a WellCare Medicare Advantage health plan during the 2019 Medicare Annual Election Period will have access to SMG's in-network benefits beginning Jan. 1, 2019.
