Georgia’s InsuranceHub Celebrates Global Diversity Awareness Month Daily

Inclusion is a major factor in InsuranceHub’s ongoing success. With the commemoration of Global Diversity Awareness Month in October, the team at the Lawrenceville, Ga.-based insurance agency is proud to say the celebration of diversity is already part of its daily culture. In addition to having a wide variety of nationalities, races, religions and political affiliations represented on its staff, InsuranceHub also boasts a broad array of age groups working together in perfect harmony. Of the 15 males and 38 females on the team, four are Baby Boomers, 20 are Generation X’rs and 29 are Millennials.
“We’re proud of the diversity of the team we’re building at InsuranceHub,” said Jim Lloyd, Founder and CEO of InsuranceHub. “Of course, we’re even more proud of our team’s ability to look beyond our differences and view ourselves as one cohesive team working towards a shared goal – to deliver the best possible outcome to the customers we serve. Our corporate culture is very special and has transcended a number of mergers that might have otherwise muddied the water. Instead, because our team as a whole embraces inclusion so passionately, we have added team members from previously independent insurance firms into our culture without missing a beat. It’s something everyone WANTS to be a part of and lends credence to the term ‘the more, the merrier.’ We take pride in being our own little melting pot.”
Lloyd credits the diversity of his team as having a hand in the bringing together of new ideas and innovative solutions. He firmly believes that different experiences can be melded together to create something entirely new and exciting. Located at 1720 Lakes Parkway in Lawrenceville, InsuranceHub moved to that larger 20,000 SF office space in 2017 in anticipation of growing its diverse staff. In the time since, it has undergone two mergers with CoverYou Insurance and Insley Insurance. In both instances, InsuranceHub added team members from both agencies to its team. In addition to celebrating diversity, InsuranceHub also encourages a strong sense of community among its employees. For the last three years, the company has served as Event Organizer and Grand Champion Sponsor of the Sip & Swine BBQ Festival at Coolray Field. Designed to benefit the Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, since its inception the event has raised a combined $150,000 for the nonprofit.
