GAgives on #GivingTuesday: Our State's Annual Giving Day is November 27th

Monday, November 26th, 2018

On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, GAgives on #GivingTuesday will present Georgians with an easy but powerful way to keep the season of thanks going: A day to give generously to Georgia's nonprofits and show their love for the communities and individuals they work to strengthen.

This Nov. 27, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, as a state organizing lead, prepares to field our second campaign unifying GAgives with the global #GivingTuesday initiative, following up a record-setting 2017 event that raised $6.8 million for 3,000 Georgia nonprofits, and building on the year-over-year growth of both movements.

"GCN is honored to have led the state's giving movement with the launch of GAgives in 2012, and we're excited to continue  strengthening it through our #GivingTuesday partnership, inspiring more Georgians than ever to recognize nonprofits, share their worth, and give back," said Karen Beavor, GCN President and CEO.

The campaign hub at GAgives.org brings together 3,000 of our state's charities, making it easy for Georgians to select a cause that matters to them, learn about the work of individual nonprofits, and donate directly to them. Everyone is invited to give on Nov. 27 and to inspire further donations by making their efforts known on social media with the tags #GAgives and #GivingTuesday.
