LG Casey Cagle Makes Appointments to Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Board of Trustees

Lt. Governor Casey Cagle announced that Robert Ramsay and Braye Boardman have been appointed to serve on the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Board of Trustees. Cagle’s appointments follow the approval of the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Amendment 1, which more than 82 percent of Georgia voters overwhelmingly supported in the November 2018 General Election.
“Robert Ramsay’s experience as one of our state’s foremost experts in environmental conservation will serve the Board of Trustees well,” said Lt. Governor Cagle. “Because of his leadership as the Chairman of the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Amendment Campaign, Georgians from across our state supported this measure to protect and enhance our state’s environment and natural resources for generations to come.”
“Braye Boardman has distinguished himself both in his business career and continued service to our state,” said Lt. Governor Cagle. “Braye’s efforts to conserve Georgia’s natural resources have had a significant impact across our state and I know his leadership and knowledge will add to the success of the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Board of Trustees.”

Robert Ramsay currently is currently the President of Georgia Conservancy. Previously, Robert served as president of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association and Senior Associate Director of Philanthropy at the Nature Conservancy of Georgia. Through his professional work and advocacy efforts, Robert has distinguished himself as a one of Georgia’s leading advocates for a protecting and enhancing our state’s natural environment.
Braye Boardman is a native of Augusta, Georgia, and has had a love for the outdoors since he was a child. Braye has been an active conservationist in the southeast region for the last 20 years and has been involved in leadership roles with numerous organizations including the Nature Conservancy, Georgia Conservancy, the Savannah River Clean Water Fund, and was one of the founding members of the Central Savannah River Land Trust. Braye was appointed by Governor Sonny Purdue to the Governor’s Committee on the Savannah River and by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle to the Savannah-Upper Ogeechee Regional Water Council.
