The Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA) was recognized with a special Resolution at the Georgia House of Representatives on February 6th at the State Capitol. The House Members commended GMA for fostering economic growth and supporting Georgia’s manufacturing industry.

“GMA’s value to the manufacturers of Georgia becomes exponential because of the impact it has on employees, employers, communities, and consumers,” said Representative Bill Werkheiser, Chairman of the House, Industry and Labor. “When best practices and ideas are shared among manufacturers, changes in processes can have economic impacts that are repeated year after year.”

Founded in 2008 by Jason Moss, the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance was established to provide resources to help support and promote manufacturers, educate their employees, and form strategic alliances that will help their businesses. They publish bi-annually the Georgia Manufacturing Directory which is designed to help source local manufacturers, suppliers and service providers to the industry. Their BuyFromGA.com website was developed to help consumers identify and buy locally made goods manufactured in Georgia.

GMA has 6 chapters representing 320 corporate members with over 70,000 employees. In 2018 alone, the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance hosted over 120 events including plant tours, workforce development showcases, educational workshops, networking event and their annual Georgia Manufacturing Summit. These events allow their members to share best business practices, make profitable business connections, and see world class manufacturing in action.
