Pretoria Fields Collective, the farmhouse brewery of the south, is an Albany, Georgia based brewery that produces slow beer with ingredients sown in the Georgia soil.  In efforts to expand its specialty brand program, Pretoria Fields Collective has announced the launch of its unique barrel program.  Pretoria Fields Collective is working with local South Georgia distilleries to use freshly- emptied barrels to create a truly unique South Georgia beer.

“Working with our neighbors and creating a barrel aging program allows us to showcase the unique flavors of southwest Georgia,” stated Pretoria Fields Collective Head Brewer Kevin Hilton.  “By using freshly- emptied spirit barrels, the beer absorbs flavors from the aged barrels -accentuating flavors created by our beer recipes.”

Beer enthusiasts will have to wait to try the new unique beers as time in the barrels can vary.  In the meantime, all of Pretoria Fields Collective beers are available in cans and on draft throughout Georgia and Alabama.  A visit to the tasting room in Albany, Georgia promises samples of staple beers as well as limited seasonal offerings.
