Tuesday, November 5th, 2019
Marketplace, an annual festive holiday shopping event presented by premier sponsors the Northeast Georgia Health System Auxiliary and Willis Investment Counsel, will take place November 7 - 9 at the Gainesville Civic Center. One hundred percent of the proceeds from Marketplace 2019 will benefit Safe Kids Northeast Georgia, which works to prevent accidental childhood injury - the leading killer of children ages 14 and younger in the United States.
Marketplace Preview Party is Thursday, November 7, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the Preview Party are $50 per person and are available for purchase at nghs.com/marketplace. Preview Party attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, the chance to shop before Marketplace opens to the public and return admission to Marketplace.
General admission is open on Friday, November 8 from 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and on Saturday, November 9 from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tickets are $5 and children 12 and younger are admitted free. Complimentary valet parking and a parking shuttle will be available.
Marketplace will feature more than 85 merchants from six states, selling unique gift items such as original art, books, custom jewelry, orchids, home accessories, clothing, gourmet food, Christmas items and much more. Gifts will be priced in all ranges from small, inexpensive gifts to unique, one-of-a-kind items.
Marketplace is an annual friend and fundraising event of the Northeast Georgia Health System Auxiliary, which benefits Safe Kids Northeast Georgia. This year's chairpersons - Katie Crumley, Jenny Floyd and Morgan Wood - lead a planning committee of 27 volunteers including Auxiliary President Ellen Toms. More than 125 volunteers will serve during Marketplace weekend.
"We look forward to seeing our community come together and support Marketplace each year," said tri-chair Morgan Wood. "This event is a great time to get an early start on your Christmas shopping all while supporting Safe Kids Northeast Georgia and a great variety of merchants from the Southeast."
