Gov. Kemp Appoints Nine to State Boards

Governor Brian P. Kemp conducted swearing-in ceremonies for nine Georgians to serve on various occupational licensing boards.
Georgia Board of Dentistry
Dr. Debra Wilson was the lead dentist at Grady Memorial Hospital from 2009 to 2016, and she worked with their infectious disease program. Previously, she served as the Director of Dental Services for the Department of Juvenile Justice and as a general dentist officer in the United States Air Force. Dr. Wilson earned her D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1979. She and her husband reside in Warner Robins, and they have two adult children.
Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Tracy L. Jordan is appointed as a consumer member for the board. She is a professional realtor at Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners, specializing in assisting buyers and sellers with commercial and residential properties. Previously, she worked as a pharmacist, and she owned and operated West Jackson Medicine Center from June 1996 to July 2015. Jordan previously served as a city council member and as a vice-chair on the Planning and Zoning Commission, both in the City of Hoschton. She also served on the board of directors for the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2014, she was named Woman of the Year in Business in Jackson County. She and her husband live in Hoschton.
Georgia Composite Medical Board
Dr. William Bostock works at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, and he has practiced family medicine in Lawrenceville since 1986. He graduated from physician's assistant school at the Medical College of Georgia, graduated from medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and completed his family medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Bostock was a Promina Health System board member, and he served as chairman on the board of the Gwinnett Hospital System PHO. He is a member of many state and national societies, including the American College of Osteopathic Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. J. Jeffrey Marshall is an interventional cardiologist Northside Hospital Cardiovascular Institute in Midtown Atlanta. Dr. Marshall earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1982, and he has been in practice for more than twenty years. He and his wife live in Atlanta, and they have four adult children.
Shawn Hanley is appointed as a consumer member for the board. He is a former U.S. Marine who owns a consulting company. He was previously appointed by President George W. Bush as a deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Hanley earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He lives in Roswell with his son.
Georgia Board of Nursing
Ashlan Porter is a registered nurse with a background in public health nursing. She earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. In addition to her work in public health, Porter has previously worked as a registered nurse in a community outreach clinic, in education, and in medical mission work. She lives in Glennville with her husband, Jonathan, and their two young boys.
Candice Broce is appointed as the consumer member for the Georgia Board of Nursing. She is the Director of Communications and Deputy Executive Counsel for Governor Brian P. Kemp. Broce holds a bachelor's degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. She previously managed communications and served as legal counsel for elections and legislative affairs for the Georgia Secretary of State's Office. Originally from Cartersville in Bartow County, she now lives in Atlanta with her husband, Jason, and son, Beau.
Georgia Board of Pharmacy
Michael Azzolin is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of PharmD on Demand. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, and he received his master's degree in Business Administration from Piedmont College. Azzolin was named to UGA's "40 under 40" program and received the UGA College of Pharmacy Distinguished Alumni Award in 2015. He is a member of the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He and his wife reside in Watkinsville and have five children.
State Board for Registered Foresters
Travis Turner is appointed as a consumer member for the board. He has served as the chair of the White County Board of Commissioners since 2009, and he previously serves as a senior vice president of commercial lending with Regions Financial Corporation. Turner earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Georgia in 1993. He and his wife have two children and live in Cleveland.
