President Pro Tempore Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) released the following statement on Gov. Brian Kemp’s recent appointments of Judge Carla Wong McMillian to  the Supreme Court of Georgia and Judges Verda M. Colvin and John A. “Trea” Pipkin III to the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Kemp’s recent appoints to the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court are indicative of his commitment to maintaining a strong, fair and diverse judiciary that is representative of our state. Georgians should be proud of these selections, as they include some of the most qualified legal minds and most dedicated legal professionals our state has to offer. I look forward to witnessing the work they do in their respective courts and I have no doubt they will uphold the same standard of professionalism set by their predecessors.”
