“We are seeing the highest number of employed Georgians in our state’s history,” said Commissioner Mark Butler. “Looking towards the new year, our focus is on attracting more people to join the workforce in 2022.”

The labor force increased in Gainesville by 765 and ended the month with an all-time high of 106,469. That number is up 2,319 when compared to November of 2020.

Gainesville finished the month with an all-time high of 104,840 employed residents.  That number increased by 944 over the month and is up by 4,207 when compared to the same time a year ago.

Gainesville ended November with an all-time high of 97,800 jobs. That number increased by 1,100 from October to November and increased by 3,500 when compared to this time last year.

The number of unemployment claims decreased by 29 percent in Gainesville in November. When compared to last November, claims were down by about 87 percent.

Employ Georgia, the GDOL’s online job listing service at employgeorgia.com showed about 1,646 active job postings in Gainesville for November.
