The Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) announced that Georgia Fund 1 Prime (GF1 Prime) demonstrates its commitment to Georgia’s 536 cities as a 2024 GMA Business Alliance Program (BAP) participating company. The BAP connects companies with municipal leaders to share knowledge and expertise to strengthen Georgia's cities and support the mission of GMA.

In December, State Treasurer Steve McCoy announced the launch GF1 Prime, a new Local Government Investment Pool (LGIP) offering under the LGIP Trust. GF1 Prime has a primary objective of providing eligible participants the potential of a higher return for strategic cash investments managed as a low risk, high credit quality portfolio.

GF1 Prime is available for eligible entities across the state’s 159 counties and strives to make a positive investing impact across Georgia. The Georgia Office of the State Treasurer has selected Federated Hermes, Inc. to manage and service the new GF1 Prime offering.

“We are very pleased to have GF1 Prime join the GMA Business Alliance Program and to offer GF1 Prime as an investment option to local governmental entities across Georgia” said State Treasurer Steve McCoy.

"The participating companies in GMA’s Business Alliance Program provide our municipal members with additional resources and information to help them achieve the best possible outcomes. They also support GMA’s ability to provide services for all member cities," said GMA CEO and Executive Director Larry Hanson. "We value the commitment and expertise that Federated Hermes, Inc. and other companies bring to Georgia cities and our organization."
